Google’s partnered with NVIDIA to enable an embedded ID that’ll make the AI gen content detectable – Synth ID

I personally appreciate disclaimer if the content is AI generated – posing as a human should be fraud – similar to how catfishing preys on people’s loneliness – this is preying on my digital reliance of social connection and human feeling

Although i’m sure there’re tools – not familiar with ecosystem – but as a consumer my only hope is google!- cutting edge open source technology – hopefully its widely supported and easily implementable so all other platforms feel motivated to adopt it!

Although i know open source is double edged sword – giving bad actors too much information – but a well supported system starts a discussion, it might not work in a few months/years if the landscape or technology changes even slightly but it lays foundation for discussions and improvements.

See its all about trust after all – well supported = fast adoption

my Instagram scrolls have went down from 20min avg every other day to 0 – i bet lot of other people feel the same lol losing trust and attention span should be motivation enough for businesses 🙂

PS i hope it doesn’t end up over regulating it though- it has so much potential! i need access to these models as an indepependent researcher 😛

though there is a reason alot of physicists dont generally use standard ML/NN models much less LLMs for predictions (other than PINNs but that too is rare compared to heavy equations and simulations run on supercomputers) – but i can get into that some other time
