The Path

You want everything, have no time to waste,
Such impatience is not a good trait.

What you want, lies far ahead,
The path you picked, not an easy tread.

You’ll lose more than you'll gain,
The only comfort you find, would be in pain.

To walk out without a scratch,
You’d have to put your dignity up for grabs.

Or else you’d be bruised and battered
You might make it, but you’ll be shattered.

No point in hoping and there is no point in praying
Sinners don’t get mercy, I guess that goes without saying

This suffering and torment is what you chose,
You might die with the weight of the world, but you’d be no hero.

Think again if its what you want,
Its really not for the faint of heart.
